Grounded and glowing, the Mawimbi Ring in shade “tortoise” is a nod to the steady pull of the tide. With its marbled brown glaze and deep amber tones, the ceramic dome reflects light like polished stone worn smooth by water. “Mawimbi” means “waves” or “tides” in Swahili — a name that speaks to movement, rhythm, and the quiet power of nature.

Set in a hand-cast, 18k gold-plated ring, the bead is made from Mount Kenya clay and painted by the women of Kazuri. A bold and timeless design, shaped by earth and elevated by craft.
